Fifty hot air balloons rose into the sky above the flagship countryside hotel of the AZIMUT Hotels chain, putting the event in contention for a Russian record. More than 5,000 guests attended the event.
The summer ballooning festival "Golden Ring," held on July 25, 2026, at the AZIMUT Park Hotel Pereslavl, became the largest in its history. Pilots and teams from the Yaroslavl region, Moscow, Kaluga, Ufa, Belgorod, and other regions of Russia took part in the anniversary festival.

The mass balloon launch became the centerpiece of the festival. Fifty hot air balloons lifted off simultaneously from a single point, which served as the basis for setting a national record for a mass tethered ascent. More than 5,000 guests came to Pereslavl-Zalessky to witness this rare and spectacular sight. The hotel's occupancy reached a peak of 100% during those days.
During the event, contests and family activities were held on the festival lawn, along with children's zones, a food court, and a fair featuring local producers. Guests could watch the balloons being prepared, talk with the pilots, and rise above the ground together with the crews during tethered ascents.

Artyom Zubenko, General Manager of AZIMUT Park Hotel Pereslavl: "We thank the Yaroslavl Region Ballooning Federation, all the pilots and crew members, the festival's partners, the hotel team, and the guests who helped make this celebration memorable. The moment when 50 balloons rose into the sky became not only impressive but also a bright event in the history of ballooning in the region and of AZIMUT Park Hotel Pereslavl."
All hotel guests will still have a unique opportunity to take a balloon ride on weekends. The current program and announcements of upcoming events can be followed on the official website of AZIMUT Park Hotel Pereslavl.
