Russia’s largest hotel chain, AZIMUT Hotels, has opened a large 4-star hotel complex near Bocharov Ruchey Park and Residence. The hotel occupies a landmark and instantly recognizable historic property on the site of the former Neva boarding house.
AZIMUT Park Hotel Vinogradnaya is a new 307-room property operated by Sochi’s largest hotel operator, located at 101/1 Vinogradnaya Street. The project is an example of the sensitive transformation of Soviet-era resort architecture into a modern property meeting high hospitality standards. The building is familiar to several generations of holidaymakers: during the Soviet era, the Neva boarding house was a departmental facility before becoming one of the first hotels in the city to cater to international tourists.
With a total area of 23,500 sq. m. and 24 floors, the hotel is located in an elevated forested park area. This setting provides peace and quiet, fresh air and the privacy essential for a relaxing stay. Thanks to the building’s height, the rooms offer some of the city’s finest panoramic views of the sea, cityscape and mountains.
As part of the modernization, the building’s engineering systems were upgraded and the interior spaces transformed in line with current design trends. The hotel now offers four room categories and long-stay apartments. The interior design features natural tones and textures inspired by natural materials such as stone and wood.
The park hotel’s grounds cover almost 5 hectares and are home to more than 100 species of endemic plants native to the region, helping preserve the area’s unique microclimate.
The hotel features a main restaurant and lobby bar for guests. An indoor year-round swimming pool and a heated outdoor pool are also planned, while work is underway on the spa area.
To host major events, the park hotel will feature a congress hall with a large 600 sq. m. modular venue, as well as a scenic outdoor terrace suitable for events in various formats. During the swimming season, a shuttle service to the beach will be provided for guests’ convenience.
