The sanatorium's excursion bureau offers the most interesting, vibrant, and exclusive excursions on any topic—historical, marine, natural history, equestrian, spiritual, sports, and more. These will be an excellent addition to the diverse animation program.
The AZIMUT Health Mys Vidny sanatorium's excursion bureau will introduce you to all the famous sights of Sochi.
An interesting place for diving
The mountain range that forms Mys Vidny continues along the seabed. The underwater rocks, overgrown with mussels and algae, are a favorite diving spot for scuba divers.
Due to the filtering ability of the mussels, the seawater clarity here is higher than in Tikhaya Bay.
The Sochi coast is also home to shipwrecks, which today attract many divers from around the world.
Yew and Boxwood Grove
A living museum, a repository of relict vegetation unchanged since prehistoric times (approximately 30 million years).
The grove's highlights are the yew trees (a coniferous tree that produces berries instead of cones, also called mahogany due to the color of its wood) and the evergreen Colchis boxwood, whose wood sinks in water. Due to its strength, boxwood is also called ironwood.
Located a 25-minute walk from Cape Vidny, in the Khosta River gorge. A nature reserve of federal significance, the grove covers 302 hectares and was declared a nature reserve in 1931.
Matsesta
The hydrogen sulfide springs of Matsesta are located a 15-minute drive from the sanatorium.
Matsesta is Russia's largest balneological resort, located in Sochi, close to the Arena building of the AZIMUT Health Mys Vidny sanatorium.
Matsesta's waters are among the most scarce types of mineral waters, their therapeutic value based on the unique simultaneous presence of iodine, bromine, fluorine, colloidal sulfur, and free hydrogen sulfide in therapeutically significant quantities.
Also within an hour's drive:
Olympic Park with the 2014 Olympic stadiums and a light and sound fountain show.
Sochi Park with a variety of attractions, an oceanarium, a dolphinarium, and a water park; Loo, a rainbow trout farm.
Zmeykovskiye Waterfalls and Vorontsov Caves with stalactites and stalagmites; Krasnaya Polyana with ski lifts to the very peaks of the Caucasus Mountains; and Skypark with the longest suspension bridge in the world.
