The program focuses on restoring the body's protective functions, treating respiratory organs, addressing the long-term consequences of COVID-19 on the respiratory and other systems, as well as stabilizing mental health after a stressful situation.

Main Goals of the Program

  • Significantly reduce or eliminate cough, episodes of suffocation, and decrease the amount of wheezing in the lungs
  • Improve bronchial patency, increase alveolar ventilation, reduce myocardial hypoxia, and the severity of spasms in the pulmonary circulation
  • Reduce the main symptoms of the disease: decrease in frequency and intensity of upper respiratory tract infections, shortness of breath, increased fatigue, nasal congestion, headaches, sleep disturbances, improvement of hearing and smell
  • Reduce or eliminate risk factors for the development of comorbidities and complications
  • Improve overall well-being and enhance immunity

Indications

The program is intended for patients who have experienced severe respiratory and pulmonary manifestations of COVID-19, regardless of whether the illness was contracted at home or in a hospital setting.

Sanatorium-resort treatment is necessary if there are or increasing consequences following COVID-19 or infectious pneumonia, including:

  • Shortness of breath
  • Impaired respiratory function
  • Constant weakness and fatigue
  • Blood pressure disorders (hypertension or hypotension)
  • Memory deterioration, decreased work capacity
  • Depressive states

Early and comprehensive rehabilitation treatment can reduce the risks of exacerbation and progression of chronic lung diseases.
