The popularity of spa treatments is steadily growing, and this is not surprising. A course of wellness treatments at a spa resort can help resolve a variety of health issues and provide a wonderful rest. Health resorts are typically located in beautiful, ecologically clean areas, within national parks and protected natural areas, which are ideal for a complete rest and recovery.
A trip to a health resort, like any other, requires careful preparation, an essential part of which is collecting the necessary documents.
In 2025, the following documents are required for entry into a health resort:

Individual Insurance Account Number (SNILS)
*In order to implement the national project "Healthcare" and in pursuance of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 09.02.2022 No. 140 "On the Unified State Information System in the Sphere of Healthcare" Starting from December 19, 2024, all reservation requests must include the guests' SNILS number.
- A spa treatment card of the established form, no more than two months old (Form 072/u)
- Passport or other identification document (seaman's ID, military ID, foreign citizen's passport)
- Compulsory medical insurance policy
- A medical exchange card is required for pregnant women
If you are traveling with a child, you will also need:
- Birth certificate (passport for persons over 14 years old)
- A spa treatment card of the established form (if you are planning treatment for a child) (Form 076/u), issued no earlier than 2 months before the start date of treatment.
- A certificate from a pediatrician or epidemiologist confirming absence of contact with patients with infectious diseases, obtained no more than 3 days before the departure date to the sanatorium.
- A test for enterobiasis (not older than 10 days).
- A dermatologist's report confirming absence of contagious skin diseases.
- A compulsory medical insurance policy.
Children under 4 years are not eligible for spa treatment. However, all the above documents, with the exception of a spa card, are required for accommodation with their parents and for stays on the sanatorium grounds.

What you need to know about staying at a sanatorium
- All medical procedures are prescribed exclusively by the sanatorium's attending physician, taking into account existing indications and contraindications.
- You must arrive on time for your doctor's appointments and treatment procedures.
- You must inform your attending physician of any allergies or intolerances to medications.
- If you regularly take any medications, be sure to bring them with you in sufficient quantities.
- For water and mud treatments, you must bring swimsuits, flip-flops, and a swimming cap (for the pool).
- A prerequisite for successful treatment is strict adherence to doctor's prescriptions, including the treatment program, diet, and physical activity regimen.
- Remember that the duration of healthy sleep should be at least 8 hours, and bedtime should begin no later than 10:00 PM.
- To achieve For maximum treatment effectiveness, it is recommended to abstain from alcohol and smoking.
- If your health worsens or your illness worsens, be sure to contact your doctor, the doctor on duty, or the nurse on duty in the evenings and on weekends.
