The popularity of sanatorium and resort treatment is steadily increasing, and this is not surprising. A course of health procedures at a sanatorium can address numerous health issues while also providing a wonderful opportunity for relaxation. Sanatoriums are typically located in beautiful, ecologically clean areas, within national parks and protected nature zones, making them ideal for full-fledged rest and health recovery.
A trip to a sanatorium, like any journey, requires careful preparation, an essential part of which is gathering the necessary documents.
In 2025, the following set of documents will be required for check-in at a sanatorium-resort facility:
- Insurance Number of the Individual Personal Account (SNILS). In accordance with the national project "Healthcare" and the Government of the Russian Federation's decree No. 140 dated February 9, 2022, "On a Unified State Information System in Healthcare," starting from December 19, 2024, all booking requests must include the SNILS number of guests.
- Sanatorium-Resort Card of Established Form (not older than two months) (Form 072/u)
- Passport or Other Identity Document (seafarer's identity card, military ID, passport of a foreign citizen)
- Voucher (referral or power of attorney from an organization for receiving a voucher, if available)
- Mandatory Medical Insurance Policy
- For Pregnant Women: Exchange card is mandatory
If you are traveling with a child, you will also need:
- Sanatorium-Resort Card of Established Form (if treatment for the child is planned) (Form 076/u), issued no earlier than 2 months before the start date of treatment
- Birth Certificate (passport for individuals over 14 years old)
- Mandatory Medical Insurance Policy
- Enterobiasis Test (not older than 10 days)
- Dermatologist's Conclusion on the absence of contagious skin diseases
Children under 4 years old do not undergo sanatorium-resort treatment, but to stay with their parents and be on the territory of the sanatorium, all the above-mentioned documents are required except for the sanatorium-resort card.
Before your trip, it is necessary to consult with your attending physician, who will prescribe a series of examinations to obtain the sanatorium-resort card. Remember: the more complete information you provide about your health condition, the higher the effectiveness of the sanatorium-resort treatment will be.

What You Need to Know About Staying at the Sanatorium
- Meal organization for families staying together in one room will be provided at one table in the sanatorium restaurant.
- No medical procedures are provided on check-in and check-out days.
- All medical procedures are assigned exclusively by the attending physician of the sanatorium.
- Please arrive on time for doctor appointments and medical procedures without delay.
- You must inform your attending physician about any allergies or intolerances to medications.
- If you regularly take any medications, do not forget to bring them with you in sufficient quantities.
- For water and mud treatments, please bring swimwear, flip-flops, and a swim cap (for the pool).
- A mandatory condition for successful treatment is strict adherence to medical prescriptions, including the treatment program, diet, and physical activity regimen.
- Remember that the duration of healthy sleep should be at least 8 hours, and going to bed should start no later than 10:00 PM.
- To achieve the greatest effectiveness of treatment, it is recommended to refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages and smoking.
- In case of deterioration in health or exacerbation of a disease, it is essential to consult the attending physician; in the evening and on weekends, please contact the duty doctor or duty nurse.
