The popularity of spa treatments is steadily growing, and it's no surprise. A course of wellness treatments at a spa can help resolve a variety of health issues and provide a wonderful restful experience. Health resorts are typically located in beautiful, ecologically clean areas, within national parks and protected natural areas, which are ideal for a complete rest and recovery.
A trip to a health resort, like any other, requires careful preparation, an essential part of which is collecting the necessary documents.
In 2025, the following documents are required for entry into a health resort:
-
Individual Insurance Account Number (SNILS).
* In order to implement the national project "Healthcare" and pursuant to RF Government Resolution No. 140 of February 9, 2022, "On the Unified State Information System in the Sphere of Healthcare," starting from December 19, 2024, all booking requests must include the guests' SNILS number.
- Sanatorium-resort card of the established form, issued no more than two months ago (form 072/u).
- Passport or other identification document (seaman's identity card, military ID card, foreign citizen's passport).
- For pensioners - pension certificate or pension assignment certificate.
- If available - Travel voucher (referral or power of attorney from the organization to receive the travel voucher).
- Compulsory medical insurance policy.
- An exchange card is required for pregnant women.
If you are traveling with a child, you will also need:
- A spa card of the established form (if treatment is planned for a child) (Form 076/u), issued no earlier than 2 months before the start date of treatment.
- Birth certificate (passport for persons over 14 years old).
- Compulsory medical insurance policy.
- A pinworm test (no more than 10 days old).
- A dermatologist's certificate confirming the absence of contagious skin diseases.
Children under 4 are not eligible for spa treatment, but all the above documents, with the exception of the spa card, are required to stay with their parents and on the resort grounds.
Before your trip, you must consult with your doctor, who will prescribe a series of examinations to obtain a spa card. Remember: the more complete information about your health status you provide, the more effective your spa treatment will be.
