The popularity of spa and sanatorium treatment continues to grow, and for good reason. A course of health-improving procedures at a sanatorium can help address a wide range of health issues while also providing an excellent opportunity for rest and relaxation. Sanatoriums are typically located in beautiful, environmentally clean areas, often within national parks and protected natural zones, making them ideal for recovery and wellness.
A trip to a sanatorium, like any journey, requires careful preparation, an important part of which is collecting the necessary documents.
Required Documents for Admission in 2026
- A valid Sanatorium Treatment Card (Form 072/u), issued no more than two months before arrival.
- Passport or another valid identity document (seafarer’s ID, military ID, foreign passport, etc.).
- If applicable, a voucher, referral, or authorization letter from an organization.
- Mandatory Health Insurance Policy.
- Pregnant women must provide a maternity record card.
Additional Documents for Children
If you are traveling with a child, you will also need:
- A Sanatorium Treatment Card (Form 076/u) if the child will receive treatment, issued no more than two months before the start of treatment.
- Birth certificate (or passport for persons over 14 years of age).
- Mandatory Health Insurance Policy.
- Enterobiasis test result issued no more than 10 days before arrival.
- Certificate from a dermatologist confirming the absence of contagious skin diseases.
Children under the age of four do not receive sanatorium treatment. However, for accommodation with their parents and access to the sanatorium premises, all of the above documents are required except the Sanatorium Treatment Card.
Before your trip, consult your attending physician, who will prescribe the necessary examinations required to obtain a Sanatorium Treatment Card. Please remember: the more complete the information you provide about your health condition, the more effective your sanatorium treatment will be.
